My first mooting experience

In February this year, my law school announced that they would conduct internal championship rounds for 1st and 2nd year that will compete against each other. I teamed up with two of my close classmates who are quite smart and knowledgeable. When the mooting season starts, the books in the library go missing or are often issued early or kept in places where people cannot find. The proposition was about government contract, which was puzzling in the beginning; obviously, it was a topic, which as 1st year students, we had no knowledge about. When I did a random check on the internet, I found the exact same case and we were quite happy that our petitioner’s side was sorted as we already had good arguments. We got a shell memo, to begin with and were late in drafting the memo and until the last minute, we kept drafting. We had to change the entire jurisdiction in one night because we realised we were filing the wrong writ and had to redo many things We exceeded the time within which we had to submit the memo and when we went to get the print out there was a power cut. (Such unfortunate events happened )when the oral rounds began surprisingly on the first day where we had to argue for the petitioner's side I did quite well but the 2nd day we went against one of the best teams in 2nd  year who were already famous within law school for their moot achievements. We sat thinking why our team had to go against such a strong team but the funniest part was they were quite bad in establishing their arguments though they were good speaker’s .we were grilled and picked up on for the small points we made and our super seniors who were our judges were very stringent to give us marks. During the moot prep time, we had many internal reservations about each other often got angry on each other’s mistake but after the moot was over, we reconciled and laughed at the memories of the moot. Those 10 minutes you get to argue passes by so fast that you will not know what you have spoken. Though we did not get qualified, it was such an enriching experience.

Review:The Snow-White mrder case 2014

Review: The snow-white murder case

I feel really sad that I don't get time to blog about the various dramas and films that I have been watching, so this time I decided to write a review of  the movie The snow white murder case also is known as the murder of snow-white/shirayuki hime satsujin jiken.

The movie begins from Akahoshi Yuiji’s point of view, he works as a reporter lazing around tweeting randomly about the restaurants. His friend Kano[Misako Renbutsu]  calls him up and tells him that she was interrogated for the murder of a colleague and instantly points her finger at Miki shirono[Mao inoue]. Akahoshi decided to unravel the truth behind the murder of Noriko Miki[Nanao]. The story proceeds as he interviews different people related to Noriko and then when most of them suspect Shirono he also starts believing that Shirono is the suspect he then interviews all the people related to shirono. Akahoshi tweets about all the developments relating to the case openly and even discloses the suspect name, he is then threatened by shirono’s friend to stop spreading wrong news about her friend. The truth is finally revealed from shironos side and finally, the culprit is caught. NO SPOILERS :)

Well, I’m at a loss of words for describing Mao Inoue's amazing performance in this movie. She portrayed the character of a clumsy, submissive introvert who is the prime suspect and finely changes our opinion about the character. What I liked about Mao Inoue in this movie was that not even for a second did she remind me of Tsukushi Makino whereas most of the actors make us look for their past characters in their new roles. I liked how Go Ayano was portrayed as a reckless reporter who is hungry to get his break. Nanao played the role of snow-white very well and showed us her new side too.

I really appreciate the movie for showing such truths mainly about how powerful internet is ,a tool that can destroy the life of a person as well as bring the truth out,i feel bad for all the people being the victims of witchhunt.another important thing shown in the movie was about how introverts are treated in the society, just because they aren't open they are made to be outcasts and whenever such incidents happen they become the suspects ,even they might have a good side to them which most of them fail to notice and I liked how shirono's friends stood for her and her childhood friend believing her till the end.I have come across girls like Noriko of lower degree who can do anything to be in the spotlight if that means copying and imitating others and making it theirs, and I was what if i met such kinds of girls someday[god I don’t want to ].

I would like to rate this movie 3.5 stars because of its predictable ending even though it was quite interesting I expected few more twists to spice it up, and if I start talking about Mao inoue it would take hours, simply putting she’s an extremely talented and gifted actress who can strike the glamour queens effortlessly .The supporting actors did a good job too I was hooked on to my seat and well I didn’t feel tired watching the movie.
That’s all for now, hoping to bump into some more amazing movies like this one.

T-ARA one of south koreas popular as well as contoversial girl group debuted in the year 2009 and went on to so many hit songs with each comeback, perhaps one among the few girl groups which provided hits consistently. They were called digital monsters during their peak years and enjoyed immense popularity with each member excelling in their respective fields. However its 2017 now and T-ara is only left with 4 members but its definitely not the group that would disappear so easily.
  1. Wae Ireoni: T-ara held their first comeback performance through Music Bank and began promotions with their new seventh member, Hwayoung, and new leader, Boram, and received two consecutive wins for “Wae Ireoni”.During this promotion period a funny incident occured, T-ara’s initial performance outfits failed dress regulations enforced by the music programs twice, due to the short shorts worn by the group. Their staff was forced to rush out and purchase extra stockings and leggings at the last minute.
  2. Cheoeum Cheoreom: This beautiful song shows the sensual yet pure side of T-ara, this song was from their debut studio album “ABSOLUTE FIRST ALBUM”.. This song was chosen against BO PEEP BO PEEP by over 9,000 people to determine the title track of the 1ststudio album but still bo peep was chose as the title track which was a greater hit.

This song is having a 30minute story line.

There are 2 more songs that are the best songs of t-ara but I didn’t include them because they are collaboration songs. Both are one of the best songs of the T-ara and I truly love them so I made a different chart for them
  1. We were in love: “Uri Saranghaetjanha” (우리 사랑했잖아, “We Were in Love”) on December 23, 2011;[44] which was later included on T-ara’s Funky Town re-release album. The single reached number one on the Gaon Chart and peaked at number two on the Billboard Korea K-Pop Hot 100. Both groups performed the song weekly on SBS‘s Inkigayo in the midst of T-ara’s heavy preparations for their year-end ceremonies.                                                                                                                                              Image result for t-ara we were in love
  2. Time to love:  In September 2009, Eunjung, Soyeon, Hyomin and Jiyeon collaborated with label mates Kwangsu, Jihyuk, and Geonil of Supernova for the single “TTL (Time to Love)“. It was released on September 15, 2009, and became both groups’ first number one song as it topped many of the online charts. “TTL Listen 2“, a sequel to “TTL (Time to Love)”, which was released on October 9, 2009, and included all the members from both groups .                                                                                                                                            Image result for t-ara ttl

Ouroboros:JDrama Thoughts

What can be better than seeing two of Japans most popular faces on screen together again after the sensational and memorable Hana Kimi. Ouroboros is a live-action drama based on the manga by Kanzaki Yuuya, which tells the story about two men, one a detective and another a member of the yakuza, who grew up together in an orphanage and decide to avenge the murder of their beloved teacher which happened 20 years ago and was covered up by the officials.
Tatsuya Danno(Oguri shun) a yakuza and Ikuo Ryuuzaki(Toma Ikuta) a detective, chose different paths but share the same goal that is to take revenge from the people who were responsible for their teacher's murder who was more than just a teacher to them. Oguri shun is quite well known for such dark roles and Ikuta Toma appears as a bubbly detective but when he actually reveals his mysterious dark side that is longing for revenge he totally changes his character and his facial expressions which I really found remarkable about Toma. The main lead actress Juri Uuno plays the role of Hibino Mizuki who is Toma's partner and I thought her character would be bleak but she turned out very strong and I felt that she was immersed in her character and the chemistry between Ikuta and her was pleasant.

Each and every character in the drama had their own essence and role to play and the drama was quite unpredictable when Tatsuya and Ryuuzaki were almost near the truth something else would turn up and they had to find their way back again. what I liked the most was even though one chose the wrong path and the other the right one they always were there for each other as they knew they were in this together and didn't once forget about their sensei who had such a great impact on them.
They called themselves Ouroboros -the 2 dragons who are eternal and shun even had a large ouroboros tattoo on his back and his specs had the same design whereas Toma Ikuta had the ouroboros necklace that his teacher would wear and that motivated them to be one. The ost of the drama is just too beautiful, the opening song -No one starts by the words"recurring fate, you're still haunting me" is very meaningful and relatable and the other song was sung by Arashi(Woah...nothing can be better than this)..even though the ending is unexpected,I was really touched by the by the characters so much and I felt like s real scene was going on in front of my eyes and if u are a hardcore fan of Oguri Shun and Ikuta Toma you will definitely cry while watching the last episode.it is definitely one of the best J-dramas because of its fast-moving plot, unpredictable twists and visual treat of shun and Ikuta plus the amazing acting skills they both have..
If you still haven't watched it please do watch it
